Description

My first crossover I did in almost the entire 6th period in ~remus71's class.:w00t: It's Sonic the Hedgehog and Danny Phantom coming together to fight both Vlad Plasmius and Dr. Eggman, saving both Amity Park and Station Square at the same time. Personally, I think this picture will spawn a series of stories I will be doing soon starring both Sonic and DP, along with the other characters and my DPOCs as well. Until then, tell me what you think of it and I hope you guys like it! :iconexplodelaplz:

You did a pretty good job attempting the characters, but there are a couple of problems. For one thing, your shading could use a little work.

You know how you commented on :iconnightviper16:'s journal recently asking for critique? Well I think one of the things she should could apply to you as well. To quote,

"
A big problem with using the dodge and burn tool is that it gives you the wrong shade. Burn a piece of paper. It will go from an off-white/egg cream to a dark brown to black. This is the general pattern how the burn tool in Photoshop works. Great. Now look at your arm. Your darkest shadows are not black, and lightest skintones don't necessarily hit brown. There's red blood underneath your skin, so there'll most likely be purple undertones. Granted this varies on skintone. The burn tool is a horrible way to learn how to shade. It looks fake."

I can tell you used the dodge tool on Danny and Sonic's skin tone colored areas because it gives an orange color. First, if you're going to use a brush like the dodge tool, make sure to apply it evenly, that way you don't get little areas that are darker. Second, the shadows on skin don't turn out that orange. What I would recommend is instead opening up the color palette and picking a darker color yourself.

Finally, the pixels on Sonic's belly...? Um, is there any way you could fix that? Such as using a smaller brush? Your lines in the other part of the picture are better.

...Oh and you still owe Berry an art trade.
